The article analyzes the general features of the concept of key educational competences of
adults on the basis of theoretical research of scientists and the pedagogical community, as well as in
accordance with the existing legal European and Ukrainian educational documents. The general and
distinctive features of the concept of key educational competences of adults are revealed, the list of key
competences is generalized, an attempt to systematize and group them is made. Based on the results of the
study, priority trends in the development of key competences of adults are presented
