The article is devoted to the methodology and organization of the implementation by students of research projects in physics. The problem comes from the existing contradictions: not many teachers know the methodology of research work; All teachers are obliged to assist their students in the implementation of projects, among which must be research projects. On the basis of his pedagogical experience, scientific research, positive experience of the organization of research activities of schoolchildren on a national scale, the author shows how to successfully cope with the tasks. As an example, the possibility of studying spark electric discharges is considered.
