In the first part of this paper, we analysed the legal context for obtaining the second
didactic degree as established in the Law for National Education (2011) and in the Methodology of
continuous formation of the didactic personnel in the pre-university educational system (2011). In the
second part, we analysed the Curriculum for obtaining the second didactic degree in Geography (2008)
and then we made proposals aiming at the improvement of this curriculum: principles for establishing the
themes, annual updating and adapting of the reference list to the proposed contents, etc.
